This course provides an investigation of game theory through film, television, and fiction. We will explore ideas such as perfect information, prisoner’s dilemma, and volunteer’s dilemma. We will examine the assumptions, mathematical models, and historical development of game theory. Students will learn the basic mathematical underpinnings of game theory and then apply these concepts to themes of conflict, cooperation, and trust.
